Project Coordinator

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is accountable to the overall performance of the project including costs, schedule, quality, project status, and adherence to company policies and procedures. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages. 

  • Perform quantity calculations. 

  •  Take measure and determine percentage of work complete. 

  • Organize and maintain project site files and documents. 

  • Review and process shop drawings. 

  • Maintain documents for the project including drawings, submittals, purchase orders, etc. 

  • Participate in jobsite safety reviews and toolbox meetings. 

  • Assist with final document turnover of as-built data at completion of project. 

  • Coordinate deficiencies in a timely manner. 

  • Keep Project Manager and others informed about status and potential project issues. 

  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in project administration and field work. 

 

What we are looking for: 

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or diploma in construction-related discipline. 

  • Experience in civil construction; preferably earthworks & sewer and watermain. 

  • Ability to travel to various job sites. 

  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle. 

  • Works effectively in a team environment. 

  • Ability to read contract specifications, drawings, and other construction documents. 

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • Client service and customer focus to maintain effective relationships with customers. 

  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time. 

  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative. 

  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
